Geography takes you to cities and towns... and people.

Urban settings are important for geographers since they show how people influence the land. Cities present many issues to geographers, such as transportation, pollution, cultural harmony and development. Geography student Karen Sekikawa studied the restoration of the Halifax, N.S., waterfront and how its function has changed and historical significance preserved.
